The village of Hopeman has various shops which cater for your basic everyday needs. The city of Elgin is less than 15 minutes away, where you will find well known high street chain stores and leisure facilities.

There are several good restaurants within the area, . Sailing lessons are available at Findhorn. There are many castles to visit in the Moray area and there is also the Malt Whisky trail which provides for an exciting day out, or maybe you would prefer to take a relaxing stroll on the various coastal walks.

There is an excellent information kiosk on the caravan park which provides details on the many things to do and see in the Moray Firth area, further information is also available from the tourist board website. http://www.visitscotland.com

In 2012 we have a number of events happening in and around Moray. Opening on May 3 is the Spirit of Speyside Whisky Festival a must for any Whisky Buff. In early July the Scottish Open at Castle Stuart is a must for Golfing enthuisiasts. Around 20 June there is the Moray Walking Festival which will be very popular. In August Inverness is hosting a number of concerts with groups such as Status Quo & Runrig. Lastly do not forget the Hopeman Gala Week starting on Saturday 14 July.
